An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot on board. UAVs are an integral part of the unmanned aerial vehicle system (UAS); which include UAV, terrestrial controller and communication system between the two. The UAV flight can operate with different levels of autonomy: either under the remote control of a human operator or autonomously with on-board computers.
Compared to the aircraft crew, UAVs were originally used for military purposes – for missions of type “boring, dirty, or dangerous to humans”. While they originated mainly in military applications, their use is rapidly expanding into commercial, scientific, recreational, agricultural and other applications such as police, peacekeeping and surveillance, product delivery, aerial photography and racing racing. And of course for your own party 🙂
Today, the most common are quadcopter, but there are a number of other multicopters and planes serving the same purpose.
But beware! You can not fly without a go around, so we recommend that you read some of the drone flying etiquette strong> . Please check the regulations about drones flying in your country!
